K-BIT is operated by Mosen Future Tech Limited (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). K-BIT provides a real-dog digital twin companion experience through a mobile application, cloud services, AI-powered features, and optional Bluetooth Low Energy (“BLE”) hardware.
This Privacy Policy applies to the K-BIT mobile application, website, support channels, backend services, connected device features, and any related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).
Information we collect
We collect information that is necessary to operate, secure, improve, and personalize the Services. The categories below describe the types of information that may be collected depending on the features you use.
Account and authentication information
- Name, nickname, email address, phone number, login identifiers, authentication tokens, account settings, and subscription status.
- Information required to verify account ownership, recover access, prevent abuse, and provide customer support.
Dog profile and companion information
- Dog name, breed, age, weight, profile images, routine preferences, care notes, training notes, mood notes, pack relationships, collectibles, memory entries, and user-created content.
- Digital twin data generated from app interactions, care rituals, AI conversations, inventory activity, and hardware bonding events.
Device, hardware, and diagnostics information
- Device model, operating system, app version, language, region, crash logs, performance logs, diagnostic events, BLE connection state, hardware identifier, firmware version, battery state, and pairing history.
- Information needed to troubleshoot hardware connection issues, maintain device security, and improve reliability.
AI, speech, and interaction data
- Text prompts, AI conversation history, voice interaction metadata, transcribed text if speech recognition is used, response preferences, and feature usage logs.
- We do not use AI interaction data to make legal, employment, credit, insurance, or similarly significant decisions about users.
Location and nearby signal data
- If you enable location-based features, we may collect approximate or precise location data to provide nearby radar, territory marks, dog encounter features, safety features, and location-based companion experiences.
- You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some nearby or territory features may not function without location access.
Payment and subscription data
- For App Store purchases and subscriptions such as SOUL+, payment processing is handled by Apple or other authorized payment providers. We may receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal state, entitlement state, and purchase validation data, but we do not receive full payment card numbers from Apple.
Device permissions
K-BIT may request permissions only when needed for specific product features. You can grant, deny, or revoke permissions through your device settings.
- Bluetooth: used to discover, pair, connect, and communicate with K-BIT BLE hardware.
- Location: used for nearby radar, territory marks, encounter signals, safety context, and location-based memory features.
- Camera: used to add dog profile photos, capture moments, scan device codes, or attach images to memory entries.
- Microphone: used for voice input, speech features, or audio interactions when you choose to use them.
- Speech recognition: used to convert voice input into text for AI conversation or app commands, where supported.
- Photos or media library: used when you choose to upload or select photos and media for dog profiles, memories, or support requests.
- Notifications: used for care reminders, account alerts, connection status, subscription notices, and product updates if enabled.
How we use data
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services.
- Create and maintain dog digital twin profiles, care routines, memories, inventory, pack features, and hardware connection experiences.
- Enable AI conversation, personalization, premium memory, and SOUL+ features.
- Authenticate users, manage accounts, validate subscriptions, recover purchases, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Provide customer support, troubleshoot device issues, respond to inquiries, and diagnose app or hardware problems.
- Analyze feature performance, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and aggregate usage trends to improve reliability and product quality.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights, safety, and security of users, dogs, the Company, and third parties.
Analytics, logs, and diagnostics
We may collect analytics, logs, and diagnostic information to understand how the Services perform and to identify reliability issues. This may include app version, device type, crash events, feature usage, connection failures, hardware pairing status, AI usage counts, and error codes.
Where practical, we use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics. Diagnostics may still be linked to an account when necessary to provide support, prevent abuse, or resolve a specific issue.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain account records, operate hardware and subscription features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Account data, dog profiles, memories, and AI interaction history may be retained until you delete them or request deletion, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational requirements. Diagnostic logs are generally retained for a shorter period unless needed for security, fraud prevention, support, or legal compliance.
User rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Manage app permissions through your device settings.
- Update account and dog profile information inside the app when available.
- Request account deletion, data access, or data correction by contacting us.
- Manage subscriptions and purchases through your Apple ID or the relevant payment provider.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Some data may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
Children’s privacy
K-BIT is not designed as a children’s game or child-directed service. The Services are intended for users who are old enough to consent to data processing under applicable law or who use the Services with appropriate parental or guardian consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and users should protect account credentials and device access.
International data transfers
The Services may be operated from, or use infrastructure located in, different countries or regions. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required by law.
